April Shoreline Cleanup at Paynetown

  • Paynetown Stae Recreation Area 4850 State Highway 446 Bloomington, IN, 47401 United States (map)

Please join us on Sunday April 21 at 2:00PM at the Paynetown State Recreation Area on State Road 446 for our monthly adopt-a-shoreline cleanup. Appropriate clothing for volunteers includes rugged shoes and gloves. The Friends of Lake Monroe will provide cleanup supplies. Kids under age 16 need to be accompanied by a responsible adult. Events will be limited to 10 volunteers. Please park in front of the Activity Center, which is located adjacent to the beach. If you don’t have a park pass, be sure to tell the gate attendant that you are participating in the cleanup to get free admission to the property. In the event of inclement weather, an email will be sent to volunteers two hours before the scheduled time of the event, provided you have signed up through our webpage. Be sure to check your email before heading to the lake.
