Join Friends of Lake Monroe for a member-only Sunset Paddle! This event is FREE for community members who have never been out on Lake Monroe thanks to generous sponsorship from the Sassafras Audubon Society. David Rupp with IndiGo Birding will guide the tour and provide the use of boats (6 single kayaks and one canoe), paddles, and PFDs for those who need them. It is limited to 8 participants. No experience necessary. Participants should wear proper paddling attire and bring their own snacks and hydration. (Dry bags suggested for non-waterproof gear). Trip will leave from Pine Grove State Recreation Area (7699 E Pine Grove Rd, Bloomington, IN 47401) about 20 minutes south of Bloomington.
