Recording of Lake Monroe Community Forum PresentationJune 17, 2022Thank you to everyone who participated in our community forums this summer.  Weren’t able to join us?  Below is a recording of the 18-minute presentation we gave at the forum.  This overview of the 2022 Lake Monroe Watershed Management Plan was followed by small group discussions about how we can engage our community in implementing the plan.  Here are the questions we considered:

• How can we bring volunteers together to address the issues identified in the watershed management plan?
• Assume we have access to plentiful resources – money, materials, communication channels. What can we do?
• What groups and individuals in the community should be invited to collaborate?
• How can we effectively share information about septic system maintenance, conservation practices for farms and forests, streambank protection, and thoughtful fertilizer usage?
